Gerry Faulkner
Gerry Faulkner, was born in Galway, in the West of Ireland. Gerry came to Australia in 1994 and worked for many years in Sydney, selling software systems to the Pharmaceutical industry. Gerry also had a pub in Millthorpe up until his retirement in 2016.
Being a committed Irishman, Gerry is actively involved in all Irish activities and is a past president of the City of Sydney St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Gerry was MC for the Sydney parade for 15 years and has been an MC for Irish festivals in Tullamore (rural NSW), Gundagai, Yass and Sydney’s Irish Famine commemorations over many years. He also MC’s local village events at Millthorpe and weddings throughout NSW.
Gerry now lives with his wife, Cynthia, in Millthorpe (NSW) and lights the fires every year for Millthorpe’s Winter Festival. He lives on a few acres and grows spuds, the beloved vegetable of any Irishman!
